Have you seen www.thisdayinmusic.com

It's a good fun site that tell's you what was number 1 on the day you were born in the UK & The US.

It also show's you which pop stars you share your birthday with.

My number 1's are 'You're So Vain' Carly Simon in the US
and UK is 'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' Little Jimmy Osmond!

I share my birthday with Elvis, David Bowie, Robert Krieger from The Doors and R Kelly!

Looks like a spam site disquised as a novelty site... :D

You have to give them your email for the answer..... I can just see the wave of spam coming afterwards.

Thanks for the link anyhow.

Joe

See what was number 1

I've used it loads.

They don't spam.

Just put in a fake email address. They show you the results on the web page.

Mine was - How Can You Mend a Broken Heart? by The Bee Gees

That's kinda cool. Mine was 'American Woman' by The Guess Who. Canadian Band topping the US Charts. Never thought much of the tune, even less after what's his name did a cover of it.

Great, I got some one hit wonder, novelty song: Sukiyaki by Kyu Sakamoto...

I feel like Charlie Brown on Halloween -- "I got a rock!"

Not bad,
Sherry by the Four Seasons in the U.S.
Telstar by the Tornados in the U.K.

:D

the U.S. No.1 on the 17th May 1976 was... Boogie Fever by
Sylvers .

Bah. That sucks.

Stine

Sugar Shack by Jimmy Gilmer and the Fireballs...

...ummmmmmm

Night Fever - BeeGee's. Both US & UK charts.

That's kind of cool, in a not so cool way.hehe

Get Back by the Beatles, both in the UK and US. I can live with that quite happily

USA Hit was "Ballad of the Green Berets" by Sgt. Sadler
(have you every seen the old clip of him singing that on some variety show way long ago?)

U.K. hit "These Boots Are Made for Walking" Nancy Sinatra

Green Berets, Boots ? What an interesting coincidence
