Enchilada
Strange person.
Hi all,
I recently picked up a used SE2200a mic off eBay. In an A/B comparison with my SP C1, it was REALLY quiet, even with the gain maxed out.
I then noticed that if I flick the pad switch on the mic, nothing changes. It is the same level whether the switch is on or off. In comparison, there is a VERY obvious reduction in the signal level when I flick the pad switch in my C1.
Is this a known issue with the 2200A? Can the pad switch in a mic be replaced, or removed altogether? If all I am ever recording with it is vox I can't see any real need for the switch anyway.
Any comments or ideas will be greatly appreciated
