Not to dispute Alan, but I don't think SE makes mics for anyone.
They were some food brokers in the Bay area (one of them is a classical musician) who decided selling microphones was more interesting than selling macaroni (or whatever).

SE is a distributor - not a manufacturer.

At least that's the information that I have on the subject.

Best regards,

Please tell me about the diaphragms in the ADK mic's, glued, bolted, both? Thank you.

Glued and Screwed ! (Hmm ! Sounds like the lyrics to a C&W tune!). Thanks for asking!

Cheers!

P.S. While I think these tech questions are valid, the most important thing to ADK is what we call TAD: Tonality, Applications, and Durability. Science is important insofar as it serves the Arts.

Larry,
Thank you for the good info. I wish more mic manufactures were singing the "Glued and Screwed" song. What do you do at ADK (job title)?

Never mind, I just read your profile. Wow, way cool. Can we start a new "ADK Microphones" thread? I know nothing about the ADK mic's and would like to ask a fews questions. And who knows, maybe an ADK mic thread will let more people (like me) know more about ADK mic's. What do you say, are you up for it?

You-da-man, DJL. Start it and maybe Larry (and possibly Brent/Alan) will jump right in there...

Thanks, but if Larry Villella is not willing to help, I see no point.

Hi Larry!

How're things at Audio DeutchKraft?
While tech questions are indeed valid, they are probably best left to people qualified to answer them - truthfully.
I find your view of the importance of science to be somewhat surprising for someboy who was able to ostensibly capture the exact sonic characteristics of Neumann U67#_______ and "put it into" an entirely new mic design!
My personal view of science (if you care to know, or not) is that it is in itself an art. You know, kind of like marketing is an art, but more exacting.

Cjeers!
