Scratch vocals. Feedback before I do for real??

Singing-wise....they sound fine.

For the mix, they should have a little more body...they feel a touch thin in their EQ quality.
You might need to just come in a couple of inches closer to the mic...and if your input goes a bit hot just turn the pre gain down to compensate, but moving a bit closer to the mic should add the body.

Also, in the final mix they should be a bit more up front. The "Ooooooooo" stuff is much louder than then lead vocal.

There is, to my ears, no small U2 influence in this.

Vocals are well sung, and the arrangement is fine.

But I find I'm disturbed by the mix.

The ooo voice is too loud. The guitars are too loud. The percussion is too quiet, and therefore too muffled, and the though the lead voice soars at the end, it's a kind of strangled soar because it is buried within the mix.

Where the vocal is placed in a mix is often a matter of taste. Some people like it sitting within the mix. Others (like me) like to hear it loud and proud. The voice is great. There is no need to hide it.

What do you mean by "for real" - I don't understand this.

I'll take a look at what you said and see how I can improve. Thanks !!

---------- Update ----------

What do you mean by "for real" - I don't understand this.

This is a scratch vocal. Once I get a feel for how it should be sung (based on feedback here) and finalize the lyrics, then I'll spend more time singing a final take ("for real").
