Yup, im basically scrapping my whole album as of today, my manager was not thrilled at all. But let me explain, see i sat down this morning at about 8 and realized my album wasn't my album at all. It was radio's album, your moms album, your kids album, your album and my grandmothers album. See i was making music for every1 else but me, sure the concepts were mine but the direction the album was taking wasn't what i originally wanted. The single is still on it because for what its worth it represents the only commercial thing i want to be on my album and i like the fact that i hit so many nerves/topics about hip hop in these times in that song. This does mess with my timing as i was suppose to be doing shows next month but while i'll still be keeping my obligations i couldn't put this cd out in good conciense. I feel the music i do from this day forward is gonna be my best because it'll represent me, no excuses for a verse being under par and no excuse for a song not being a "song" to its fullest potential. i hope from this post all the artist and producers learn a valuable lesson, music is replacable but history records greatness, strive for greatness and when you achieve it you can say you were always the you you were when you 1st aimed for it.
Expect great things from me ya'll cause i expect great things from you!!
