Schecter Demon 7 FR or ESP LTD M100-FM

Hello everyone! How are you?

Until today, I was decided to get a 6 string ESP LTD M100-FM guitar with a licensed Floyd Rose bridge. While searching in some guitar stores, I found a 7 string guitar from Schecter, model Demon 7 FR (Floyd bridge too), just a bit more expansive.

I'm not looking for a "top" professional and expensive guitar, but the price of that Schecter seems to be really nice compared to the M100-FM, and it is a seven string guitar. What you guys think of the Demon 7 FR, considering it's price? Is it a good guitar for a "not pro" musician or it's better to stick with the M100-FM?

Good part of my favorite songs are played on a 7 strings, that's why my interest in it too.

First off, are you shopping for a 7 or a 6 string? I own both but there are things that I would look for depending on which one you are buying. I haven't played either of those particular models but I have played quite a few models of 7 string guitars. All of the Schecter's I played were the least comfortable to play and had the largest neck. Something to consider if this is your first 7 string.

wireneck is right. first, know what you're looking for.

if you play metal and need the flexability, go for the 7 string. it sounds like a nice ax and they can be tuned to drop-A quickly when needed. if you need the wammy bar more than a 7-string then go for the ESP.

it really depends on what you play most.
