hello my fellow recording bretheren, im really caught between which interface for my home rig. If anyone has had experience with either or both all input is greatly appreciated. Im most likely going to be running ableton live, i knw focusrite and ableton are kinda hand in hand but i plan on making this interface last me as long as possible so i want to pick the best possible option.

ive already done my research online as far as specs and buyer reviews but id like some opinions from the forum i respect most out of the home recording world. thanks guys

OOH OOH Pick Me! I have experience with both. The single coolest thing about the Presonus is the VSL mixer. You can have zero latency reverb, eq, compression in the cans while you record. No problems with lowest latency settings on my VAIO laptop, and the MIDI seems to work really well. I don't really have any opinion on pre quality, both are fine for what I am doing.

I love my 2i4. Built like a tank. Both are great man! Just grab one and start making music! Win/win
