Does anyone know if I can use a mini-jack to RCA cable to connect the spdif on my sblive card to the (proper) spdif on my Delta 66? If so, does anyone know where I can get one?!!

Or do I need to get something like the Hoontech Digital i/o bracket? I know it's pretty cheap, but I don't need the optical ports.

RGS,

Haven't tried this myself, but I learned this when I was asking the same question last summer:

At the ALive! SB Live SIG website

I found this at

Get Coaxial Output from the Yellow Digital Minijack Output

Mark from 3DsoundSurge mailed me that it was very easy to get coaxial output from the yellow digital out on the new SBLive! cards. Just get a mono minijack-to-coaxial/RCA cable from your local hardware store. It shouldn't cost you more than five bucks!

Below this little article, someone commented

"Yep, a mono-jack works! I connected the plug to a regular 75 ohm coax cable with a RCA plug on the other end. I can make great digital recordings to my minidiscrecorder now!"

Thanks Alchuck. I was hoping that would work. I was going to try it anyways!
