You'll notice it says "Coming 2004". Also, Music 123 here in the states still lists it as "On order". Somebody there wrote a review of it April 2004 (when it was on sale for $30), but it sounds like BS - I doubt if he's ever used one.

So I doubt if it's for sale yet - maybe some production problems?

I asked what it would be for a c1 nd some xlr cables, and they didn't say they were still getting them... I would assume if they didn't have them yet, the guy would have said so....

The way to find out would be to order it and ask them for a delivery date. You could always cancel the order if you didn't want it. Or just ask straight out if they're in stock.

A quick look at Behringer's site show that their C1 is listed a s being available in the latter part of this year. The other interesting thing is that it is listed as a condenser mic with the B5 and ECM8000, whereas the LD Behri's are in a seperate category, this may mean that it is really a small/medium diaphram similar to the Samson...........but then again, this is Behringer we're talking about so who knows.

....if its 499........what the hell is the minimum wage in australia?
No minimum wage here, we're from convict stock so we steal everything. :D

Seriously though folks $1AUD = $0.76US ATM.

I recently bought a C01 for $99 and think it does quite fine for my purposes. Those purposes being getting some rough tracks for each of us jam/practice to and then getting a demo together. As soon as the gig money starts rolling in I will start upgrading gear one piece at a time with the view to having a room full of gear by the time I have a house with the right room to put it all in.

In short - depends what you wanna do with it.

Now it says "1st quarter 2005" on the Behringer site, and Music 123 still says "on order". This must be the carrot out in front of the donkey - the one he can never quite grab. :D
