... with the third channel. Static y. Might be dust, haven't got much use. I was checking it out for Ebay, when I discovered the 3rd channel problem. So, I could either sell it for cheap or get it fixed. It was already a replacement from Sweetwater and I may take it back and see if I can get a deal on something else or just sell it for $50 or so. Any ideas or suggestions?

If there's only static when you change the channel gain knob, the pot wiper probably just needs cleaning.

If the static is there when you don't move the knob, does it increase in volume when you turn up the gain (either channel or master)? If so, I'd suspect a bad component in that channel (likely a capacitor or semiconductor) and would take some troubleshooting or expense to find and replace it.

I have a Samson Q5, but I don't know if the circuits are similar.

Thanks. I'm thinking of taking it to Sweetwater and see if I can shame them into repairing it. They probably won't, (out of warranty), but its worth a shot. Besides, I haven't been out to the New 'Campus', yet.
