Does anyone use Samplitude...if so...How do I master without a transparency stuck to my monitor ..that is using the FTT Filter?...My method works like this...I collect a sample from say...ANY BAND I LIKE...Then Copy all the tracks onto a single track...Open the FTT filter and open sample...then using a felt tipped pen...i redraw the graph onto a transparency stuck over my screen ...Then retrace it exactly...MY PROBLEM IS INACCURACIES AND TIME...Help....( I like Cubase SX 2 (for midi) but reason's REDRUM doesn't do it for me...I'm a Fruity FAN!) So i stick to Samplitude...
ALSO....Any good ebooks on compression and eq-ing...

Goodness, don't master with your eyes... It'll get you nowhere. The FFT in Samplitude is great and all for tweaks, but unless you're working with a recording with the exact same core sounds, at the exact same relative volumes in the mix playing the exact same note, etc., "looking" at sound isn't going to do much of anything. Use the EQ and get it close, and break out the FFT if you need something in particular that the EQ won't handle.

That's an awful lot of software for a newbie to own ...
