hi, i finally bought a POD2! and pretty cheap to so its a steal

i plug it into my computer line-in and sounds way awesome that when i plugged my guitar from the mic... but i know that line in has its limitations so i was wondering when i record in adobe audition, which sampling rate and resolution should i choose to maximize the line in but not waste precious space and resource my computer uses

and i do have a followup question, i plan on buying a tascam144 and i was wondering if plugging my POD would further improve the sound since it plugs into USB

i think you may find your answer in this heated discussion (not to mention you'll have fun reading it):

basically it comes down to what your hardware can do and what you're willing to give up in hard drive space. however, i will say that the most common sample rate (IMO) is 48kHz at 24 bit. Sort of a nice round number that sits in the middle of the sample rate dispute.
