I have the saffire pro 14 firewire device.. for some reason on my main pc i cant get it working.
Everything works right with the unit itself, by itself, as i can hear audio just fine in the headphone jack.
However, when i goto use say Audition or Reaper x64, i set it to asio saffire etc.. everything is looking good.. i set the track to record.. test the microphone, the audio shows up in the meter, then suddenly it goes blank, then works again a few seconds later. If you try to record it will "freeze" during the recording for random seconds at a time.
This machine has the same OS as the others i've tested.. Windows 7 x64 SP1. I'm using mix control v 2.4 the latest from their site. In the mixer itself i dont see this dropout.. i also dont see it when using directsound i believe.
I have tried putting a TI pci siig card in, same result.. different firewire cable too.. tried using my built in VIA chipset.. same result.
On my laptop, it works fine.. on my work pc, it works fine. I have nearly the same software set installed on the work machine too.
I uninstalled that asio4all driver to be safe, to no avail.
Short of wiping the system i'm not sure what to do.. i'd rather not do that, as it will take weeks to reinstall the amount of things i have going on.
My home pc motherboard is the p8p67 deluxe motherboard with ddr3 1600mhz ram and an i7 2600K for reference.
Thanks in advance.
