Rush cover-video

For a practice space recording, you got really good sound with that last video. The bass is a little quiet and the backup vocals is far too quiet, but overall it's pretty solid.

The lighting is still pretty awful. (Though, I do really like the floating green head effect!)

Thanks vhs! The bass does tend to suffer depending how hard it is for him to sing.....

Do you have a fog machine going in there?

Looks down at feet and replies meekly....yes :o

The Bass player, who's house we practice at, had it outside for his Haloween display, and thought it would be cool to set up for our "video shoot" :D....1st time we have used it since a gig a few years ago....

Great guitar playing dude.

Queeps - nice one - could've put a light on your scone so I could see you. There's only a little distortion & the bass top end clicks were annoying but that's the mic I guess.
Good cover - I'm slowly learning about Rush - I have a retrospective best of & Moving Pictures. Is there anything else I should listen to?

You might want to check out Chronicles. I don't know if they even sell it anymore, but it's a 2-disc best-of that covers their career album by album up until the end of the 80's. For whatever reason, I've always liked Chronicles better than the Retrospectives.

If you can stomach geek rock, I'd highly recommend 2112, in particular the title track. I know it appears on the best-of albums but not in full. Two other great epic tunes are Cygnus X-1 and Xanadu from their album A Farewell to Kings.

Nice stuff !!! I have been working on a Bastille Day and 2112 cover for a long time. I have the drums all finished on both. Ive been focusing on Bastille Day and have the Rhythm and Bass guitar parts tracked. But I am not a good lead guitar player. Would love to have you lay down the lead for me. PM me if you want to help out.

Thanks man! Love those Rush tunes...PM sent!

Man...everybody's doing videos now, I'm jealous...:mad::D
Great band you have there, Queep, real tight. Rush songs aren't easy to play. Video looks and sounds pretty good, all things considered. Maybe a bit more light, but hey that's a practice room (oh, the memories that brings.....).
Great guitar playing, by the way, your solos sound great, especially the wah part. The whole thing is almost psychadelic at times. But you know I'm a fan of your stuff.......;) Nice listen and view!

Joey :):):):)

Heh, right on. Yeah, Rush ain't for everyone.

I have memory and awareness
But I have no shape of form
As a disembodied spirit
I am dead, and yet unborn

Honestly, who writes lyrics like this? :)
