See You in the Spring...

Another good song with too much treble. I hate to be a broken record.

This is making me think of Meatloaf. I like the "horny" part. Nice touch.

I love what you do with the doubled vocals. I do that that a lot too.

Nice guitar solo.

Your levels are all really good. But again, I have to comment on the brightness of it. I'm wanting a little meat here.

As They Fell...

Better on the bass sound. The guitar is still a little "scratchy."

It's so hard to describe in words what I hear. I get many comments about my bad guitar sound, so maybe I'm not the best critic there. :-)

Your voice reminds me of someone here. Not quite David Bowie. But someone. Someone good.

Nice song. Kind of epic. Everything's put together well. My only problem is the too-distorted, too-bright guitar.

It's like Jethro Tull or something.

Nice keyboard part! I love that!

Bring your high-end down on these songs, and you've got some very nice alterna-pop.

Enjoyed the listen! I'd love to hear these with some juice. You really have some talent with composition!

Hope I haven't offended.

PiltdownMan,

Thanks for checking out the stuff at Sound- Click! It is appreciated.

As to the treble issues, you could be right about all of it. Many of those songs were recorded a number of years ago and I was experimenting with different monitors through that phase of my writing so yeah, some re-mastering of much of that stuff is probably in order.

At the time of conception for most of that stuff, the clinic or even the internet wasn't around yet and I didn't have the talent pool to bounce the mixes off of at the time. Probably, if I had enough time and ambition, of which I have neither, I would go back and fix up almost everything I have ever printed to tape!

Cheers & thanks again! :)

Love those "oh's" in the begining. Nothing to say that hasn't been said. Just want to say really good sound on this one. I'm mixed on the bass. At times it sounds really cool, at times it feels awkward.

Very nice groove, just a little too repetitive. Needs a change in there somewhere, screaming lead break maybe or different accents on the drums. I'll check out your reggae thread when I get home tonight
