just a instore testing...
i was really suprised my the new samson... even tho the old ones are total crap to my ears
the 5in's bass is forcefull and round, but not boomy, the highend is smooth, it does sounded a bit like adam but i find adam have a bit more accurate imaging, but not too much better in that demo room
but dont take my words, something this cheap many smalltown stores might even have some instock

did read in keyboards forum that anf10 is better and the differences are much enough to buy them. They are more analytical. Low end of samsons could be better ( r5a ). highend is ok. really good in their class.
an producer friend did recommend me the samson after he heared and tested them.
I think both are good choices.
i ask myself how an test with wharfedale pro diamond and samson rubicon would end ?

ANF10 are passive?..what kind of amp did they use?
i haven't heard alot on these. Do you have any English links?
many articles lead to DynAudio in this $800us, range.
I'm good on the amp, 300watt, dual 150watt at 4ohm. could stay passive and save BIG $..50%...
but always interested in a monitor upgrade.

i am thinking about one of them too and did read 4 reviews and a lot of userreviews ( here in germany ) about the rubicons. Anf users say that they are better that the rubicons and the way to go ( keyboards.de forum ), but the rubicons are really good and the differences aren´t great ( a test at amazona.de and keys.de with adam p11 tells the same ).
Want to use one of them with my wharfe 8.2 ´s but my sherwood hi-fi amp isn´t good enough for adam anf. I have to buy an better one now or later. That would be too expencive cause i need an sub too and have to pay ( if i would buy the new fostex 0.5 sub ) 250 €. Amp or sub - that´s my question.
i could sell my wharfedales no i don´t won´t. hmmm i don´t know.

no i have the actives.
my amp isnt so bad. but it´s an normal budged hi-fi A/V Receiver. It was a mistake to use the word AMP. It´s an easy receiver from the 150 euro class. Have an Tone direct button ( that´s usefull ). Use him with old hi-fi speakers. Soundcraft compact 4 mixer and emu 0404. easy setup but ok.
and i did recognize at the same site an review of my wharfis - hey 1 1/2 years later. haha

Do you agree with the article on the Wharfs? 7 of 10.
great for price range.
steep roll-off at 100hz.
grainy at loud volumes, long listening periods hard.

i don´t agree with them. my wharfis aren´t bass light 
and work with them longer than 3 hours without problems ( ok i don´t hear generally too loud, only when i have the opportunity and won´t to check the mix with louder volumes ).
hey read the behringer review - hehe no man can´t be "true" only "truth"
and 10 for missions - hmm interesting but too expencive.

Basically the common factor here seems to be that all of the people I know who have auditioned the new ANF10's seemed shocked that ADAM put their name on them. Pretty much everyone I know considers them to be in the same clss of all of your other low end monitors. Far below any of the other ADAM's, Dynaudio's etc...
The comments that I remember hearing the most is concerning the high frequencies. For some reason the beautiful extended highs that ADAM is known for have disappeared in the ANF10's and is now fairly "scratchy". The lows are nearly nonexistent, and that the mid low material sounded very smeared and mushy, even at lower volumes.
It iscertainly importantto remember with this post that these are not MY opinions, but those of certain people that work in the industry whos professional opinions I tend to trust. However, since I myself have not tried them, my disclaimer needs to accompany this post However, I most likely will never try them based on what I already have heard about them.
