Hello,
I've got a Roland RS-5 synth hooked up to my Windows 7 64bit PC. This is a new thing for me, but I've been using Mixcraft to record with it. I had never used MIDI on it before, mostly just using line-out through my mixer to record built in sounds. Now I'm trying to use it as a controller. I have it hooked up via USB, and the notes play fine. If I play a single note and release, it goes NOTE OFF fine. However, if I play a triad or any type of chord, some of the notes will keep playing after I release. I downloaded MIDI-OX and took a look. It appears that instead of sending NOTE OFF when I release a chord, it sends NOTE OFF for the first note released, and NOTE ON for the other notes in the chord! Any ideas?
Here's a screenshot of MIDI-OX showing the problem
