When it hits 100* up here, I'll be asking the same question...

:(

Sure would be great, wouldn't it? Hm.... might send some resume's up that way, just "to see..."

Do you happen to know what the cost of living index is up there, Rats? Where EXACTLY are you (which borough of which town of what city, etc.)?

Ok..... I didn't read any of the above... In fact, I didn't even read your opening post..:D

Snare was too Loud and too Snappy... Drums were off Time, cymbals sounded... well I can't explain it... but they just didn't sound right...

BUT.... (the good news next)..

The "coolness" of the song made it all better..... I had FUN listening to this, and your singing style is really cool....

What a tune..... I take it these are live drums... can you sample them and sequence them....? I think a loop or drum machine would ruin this song, so I want you to keep the live drums... just get somone to bang the damn things with proper timing :D...

....Or, as I said, you could sequence them through a sampler... If your going to do this, sequence about 6 different snare hits from the drum track, and then when you play the drums on a keyboard, grab a different snare sample each time... and it will sound very, very convincing.... same thing for the rest of the drums...

Cool tune.... you rock dude.

Joe

PS... Sorry If this has already been said.... I didn't read any of the posts...

Lessee here, I live in "fashionable" Ferndale which borders the great city of Detroit to the south, with the legendary Woodward Ave (of the annual Woodward Dream Cruise) running right up the middle of it. If this is starting to sound like a sales pitch you're not tripping. As far as teh cost of living index goes I really couldn't tell you, but for living conditions you really have it all. There's more ghetto than one could bear witness too. There is more bourgois lifestyle between Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, and Grosse Point than one would want to admit to. There's enough suburbia on all different levels to go around for everyone. There urban high rise living downtown for dirt cheap all around teh newly developing city as it gets it's face lift. You've got brand new development set against the old style architectures of the early to mid 20th century that continue to be world class (as long as they don't tear any of it down). And if you like somthing that combines cheap rent, world cultures, art, and a bustling bar on every street corner of every city block within 2 square miles, then you have Hamtramck. If you don't mind a few rats (he he) you could find yourself in an invigorating atmosphere. Not to mention that from the riverfront in Detroit, if you have a good arm, you can throw a rock and hit Canada. And there is FINE ladies to be had on that side...

If you like music, Detroit spawned Motown, punk rock, techno, house music, and from what I hear is currently the choice for rock bands to be out of in Europe thanks to the White Stripes, the Go and a few others.

...just something to think about.:D

On the downside the winters suck, the summers are god awful humid and there aint shit for fun nature stuff unless you drive a few hours out or are lucky enough to own lakeside property...:(

Hey tubey thanks for the listen and feedback! Although I don't think I'll be doing and sequencing of the drum beats I know what you're saying. They are definitely on the surgery table. Thanks for the encouraging words, though!:D
