Hey, this is the first mp3 I've posted to get feedback on. I know all the levels aren't right, but I think it's sounding pretty good. Suggestions or tips?

what's your equipment list? How was it recorded?

Apart from the guitars the whole mix sounds a bit lacking in stereo defenition. There's not too much bottom end, lots of mid range honk on everything. I kinda like the guitar sound but I'm guessing it's straight out the box and not an amp mic'd up. Your vox sound a bit nasal and the bass is missing in action. The song kinda grows on you though....listening closer...is that an actual bass guitar?

I'm really interested in what instruments/equipment were used on this song. For a first effort I'd say it wasn't bad at all. I wish my first attempts sounded half this good. Keep at it.

LemonTree, Thanks!

Ok, now that you've heard it, I'll tell you what I'm using. A PC with Adobe Audition, Midi bass and drums, 2 guitar tracks ran straight in through a SoundBlaster Live, then processed with Revalver (a DX Amp Sim), and then a POS Radio Shack mic ran straight to the SBLive.

This isn't the first time I've recorded anything, I'm just working on getting my stuff to sound better. I wish I could get some better equipment, but oh well.

Oh, the guitar is a 50th anniversarry Fender Strat, and the midi drums and bass are using sound fonts, btw.

What would you specifically do to bring out some of the things you talked about? I was aware it needed more low end, and the guitars sound a little boxy to me, there's some weird frequencies there but I can't isolate them.
