Wow man! Long time no see, buddy. I hope everything's good with you.Wanna know how YOUR voice is supposed to sound? Just listen to any one of your songs. You have something that not many people have. A unique voice. It stands out and is just as easily recognizable as Ian Gillan's, Janis Joplin's, Alice Cooper's and on and on. It is an incredible gift to have.
I love your stuff, Rami. You constantly and consistently blow me away with your productions. Your bass tone is and has been, my goal ever since I heard your first song. I still don't have it. It always sits perfectly in the mix and you can hear every note. You can talk about your signal chain and plugs and such but I know you are holding something back. It's like the secret family recipe that my mother handed down to me. Problem is, she NEVER told me what the secret was so it never turns out like hers.
Love the song. There are a couple of places that things seem to meld together a little too much but they come and go so quickly that it is hard to pinpoint just where and when it happens! Your voice sounds good when it is IN the mix instead of ON TOP of the mix. That's why they call it a 'mix.'
Keep on keeping on! Love ya, Brother!
Thanx a lot for all that. I can guarantee you that I have no secrets as far as my bass sound or any other part of my recordings. What I described above is all there is to it. I think I happen to have a great bass, that's probably the only "secret".
Thanx a lot ofr the comments. Hope to see you around more often.
