Rollin Along

Sounds pretty cool. What do you use for drums? Unfortunately I'm capped at the moment so all I could listen to was the low fi version...which is never a really good idea, but oh well.

Used drum loop in my recording software which is Tracktion 3. I will replace those with actaul drums when I am totaly done with the tunes. They are all work in progresses

Have you got your own kit do ya?

Yes. I have a pretty good set up. I worked tonight for a few hour tweaking different recording levels and eq's for the acoustic drums. I will mix down the drums with different settings and play the mixes on various stereo systems and see which mix I like the best and use that as a template for recording drums for now on. Now I see why everyone says drums are a pain to get sounding right. The set will never move so once I get all the proper mic placements and levels set I should never have to re-do it. The room itsself needs some wall treatments to help out with sound. But I still new to all this and the studio is new and I am gradually getting it set up properly. I'll post some pics
