Does anyone HAVE this card?

Yes, you can use it quite well. The SCC-1 was part of the original Sound Canvas products from Roland. Although it is not quite up to today's standards for synthesizers it was quite amazing in it's day. I still use mine quite regularly for piano takes and drums in Cakewalk 9.0.
This site tells you everything you might want to know on this card. Including several sound editors to adjust it's sounds.
Cakewalk accesses the card quite well. I generally run out of the rca jacks of the SCC-1 into my mixer and then back into a second A/D converter sound card in my comptuer.
I even have one...you don't wanna know how much I paid for it in 1992...takes a lickin' and keeps on tickin'...it is marginally better than my $30 Yamahar sound card for MIDI, except that it totally kicks ass in drums so that's why I keep it...maybe my kid can sell it on eBay in 2050...
