Roland JX-3P problem

Hi

I have a problem with my JX-3P. It's making sound, but not very loud. It's almost unnoticable. But when I open the synth and press right under the volume potmeter, the sound comes on, loud and clear.

Any advice? What to do?

sounds like a bad pot or broken solder joint to said pot

Okay, thanks.

I've checked the solder points and resoldered them, but for no good. I'll try to change the pot ASAP.
