Can you switch to your clean channel then switch to the instrument sounds and back? Judging by what I know it seems like once you have it plugged in your stuck on the synthesizer and you can't switch back to the clean guitar. What I am asking is can you play something on a sax and then hit the pedal and go to clean guitar and vice-versa?

I'm not as familiar with the GR20, but I own the GR33 and have owned the GR30. I'd imagine it's the same with the GR20, but you can definitely switch between guitar and synth sounds. I have one guitar with a built-in synth pickup and another with the externally mounted GK2A pickup. On both there is a switch that lets you choose either guitar, synth, or both together. It's not a pedal on the board that lets you switch - it's on the GK pickup controller.
