Hi everyone just wanted to share my opinion on the Roland Cube amp series as I am amazed at the sounds these can achieve! I own a Roland Cube 80x and even though it's obviously not gonna be a valve sound this is the closest I have heard for a transistor amp
One thing which I like is you don't have to worry about using tubes which is a brilliant feeling - and the sound is almost just as good... Your regular audience probably wouldn't even be able to tell the difference! Add a distortion pedal then you can get some really great sounds too.
I recently recorded this original song with my band and the guitar you here all the way through is the Roland Cube 80x just with a Epiphone Les Paul Standard... A nice clear clean sound all the way through and the "Classic Stack" setting for the hard rock guitar solo halfway through... No pedals used! Please check it out! Here is the link:
