hi all
just had to tell you it works!!!!
i picked up my V Fire unit 2 weeks ago and i have just come up for air and i have to tell you it smells sweet
the unit allows me to transfer 16 tracks into the computer and then what ever i want
eg save wav files to CD and send to others or rework in cuebase or add some plugin effects and reload back to my VSR 880 in fact the only thing it will not do is make my lunch for me
it was simple to set up
and the only trouble i had was to work out that if i was using cuebase
i had to change from the v fire back to asio sound card eg record in i had to nominate the V fire as the sound card (for inputs) and then nominate another sound card for playback but since this is a one button click i can live with this
any way i am happy to answer any questions anyone has
and once again if you own a roland with an R Bus and you want to send to a computer THIS IS WHAT YOU NEED if you want simplicity there is not one button or knobs to play with and it sounds great no sound loss that i can notice
