Damned if I do
Literally! The new mix is better, but I still sound like I'm speeding up and slowing down and shit. I'm starting to think there was something wrong with the guide track you sent me, because this is a helluva lot tighter than what I downloaded off of Soundclick.

I have a reputation in D.C. as a tight drummer, and I feel I must defend it.

Hell, I don't know! I will d/l this and import it in and compare the starting points. I guess my ear still needs some work... :o

I'm still thinking it's a mp3 conversion issue. Do you usually work in 24-bit? 'Cause I do and I've had problems with the Sony software when trying to convert a stereo 24-bit file directly to mp3 regardless of the target bitrate. So now I always convert the wav to 16-bit before converting to mp3.

Actually, I work in 16-bit. If you remember, this software was given to me, and the guy who owned it registered it on his pc, and for some reason it wouldn't let me register it on mine. So I have to use an outside program to convert to mp3 because I can't upgrade my program. It's probably the other software screwing it up, because it sounds tight as hell in Vegas right now.

Let me render it at a higher bitrate and see if I can get it on NL5's site. Maybe that will fix things (crossing fingers, toes, eyes and t's)....

Downloading now.... {crosses fingers} :D
I am guessing it was still lagging? You never came back and said if it was or not.
Now I have to figure out how to download it and save it to disk. The version I burned for myself got rendered in mono! :o

If I remember correctly, didn't the same abnormality occur with my tracks too?

Probably the same reason, too.... Did you d/l this and see if it was having timing issues? I can't do it from this pc...
