I've herd alot about the ntk's but i cant seem to find much on the adk's has anyone used it at all and what would you say the diffrences would be between the 2.

I just wanna know wether i should bother hunting one down as rode has a real good reputation as far as customer service goes and there one of the only companies where we (ozzies) get a good price from.

Ive never heard about the ADK but I can tell you the NTK was my choice after trying out some different mics, I tried out the NT1, NT2, AT4030, ksm 44, studio projects b1 and other smaller mics that I shouldnt have wasted my time on, I mean I dont have the money to keep a mic cabinet like some guys on here do but I just keep a sm58 and Rode NTK for now.. I must say I am very pleased with it though, I can give you the email address to someone who sells them for 375.00 brand new free shipping.. In stores I know they retail for 500-550.. This guy sold me mines though, was very happy with it.. Hope you like whichever you get..

375 US

or AUS? hook us up with an e-mail addy bro.

does anyone know if there have been any reviews done?

sleepwalkermusic@sbcglobal.net <--- RODE NTK 375.00US, shipped and sealed in box brand new.. whats australian currency converted to US?

Put me down as a reference, not thirst donmega123.. Maybe Ill get some kinda reward from him lol.. Anyways he's real cool ships fast and is more then happy to answer questions, hope you enjoy.. I did..

I recorded an entire project with a Rode NT1...it was all acoustic/vocal....so I didn't need anything else...it's the best LDC for the buck...period

judge, just curios mate... have you checked out the sp tb1? same price range as the ntk (ntk $799 tb1 $669 musiclab.net.au).. i think rode rips us off in aus mate... at 375us it'd be cheaper to buy one there then ship the bastard over... personally i haven't heard either mic in the flesh so to speak, but i do think it would be an interesting toss up

Its a great mic for acoustics and vocals
what else do you have in your cabinet?
why are you looking?

basically the mic cabinet will be

a shure sm7-b, rode nt1000 and a toss up between the ntk or adk, i'm looking for something to round out the 2 i already have to give me a bit of flexibility. I record hip-hop music and the diffrence in production varies quite a bit so i'm tryina to gain a small selection which should cover as much as possible without haveing to use to much eq..

by the way i will be using and rnp and rnc combo.....unless i should be going for something else

the shure should cover your dynamic needs, the ntk is great in that price range... or maybe an audio technica? 3035, 4033, 4060? hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm. can you rent any of these? that would be the best indication of what will work for you.

375 free shipping homeboy.. how much is
Australian currency compared to US..? is it that much? I do hiphop also and I must say I dont even use the sm58 anymore, for live performances but not for booth recordings never, it just doesnt give as good as a sound.. Trust me you will be happy with an NTK but like a previous poster stated if you could rent it that would be your best option.. Or find a store with a decent return policy.. Thats what i did bought it and brang it back 2 weeks later.. I also Record hiphop and it very much gets the job done.. enjoy

I own the NTK and the NT1000. They are very similar in sound. The NTK has just a little more "body" to it's sound. If I already had an NTK, I wouldn't buy an NT1000. I don't think the NT1000 can give you anything that the NTK can't. I own both because I bought the NT1000 first. It's very good, but maybe a little too sterile for some things.

Blessings, Terry
