Hey all,
First of all - please excuse my lack of correct terminology.......
I have a friend who recently bought a rode nt1000 condencer mic and i we were experiencing some things i was wondering about.
The mic got to certain frequencies it just cut out. Like we would listen back to a voice we recorded with it and it would have sections where it sort of cut out and came back in again. (I'm only talking milliseconds here mind u.) But when u had the singing just on its own you could notice.
I'm know that microphones arent designed to pick up every freq but the ones they are designed to, but the little 'cutout bits' occurred in just normal singing - nothing weird or out of the ordinary was being recorded.
So basically i was just wondering if this is how the condenser mic is supposed to operate?? If not - what could be wrong and can it be fixed?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
