I have never used any of the Rode mics. The only thing that would scare me about them, is Harvey's review. He found them to be inconsistant from unit to unit. That being the case, the experiences of Rode owners might not be the same as your experience if you get one.

I don't know if that is still the case, maybe they are building them with better QC now.

Hey Gidge, I checked out your site and your really not my type:D :D :D , but seriously I ask more questions than I answer around here and if I feel I can answer a question with confidence than I do so,I have found this site to be very useful and as far as my knowledge I have not tryed to imply that I'm anymore than what I am: A home recordist that when I have the opportunity I try to make a little money on the side recording other artists.I am not trying to knock people when it comes to using the search button but personally I used that option many times before I wrote my first post and I still use it.As far as you finding a good deal on the v67 great, from looking at just about every post you've made I've come to that conclusion loud and clear. That's great it's just like harvey's post on the ecm 8000's everybody and there brother recommends them everytime someone posts "What are the best overhead mics?"We know that by now that for the money ecm8000 are a good choice for that application. I think if someone wants to research that using the forgotten search button they will come up with all kinds of threads pertaining to that topic.Instead how about a thread pertaining to "which way do you like to position your overhead mics, and WHY?That to me is a worthy topic. It's debatable, informative, and deserves it's place in the microphone forum.Maybe they need a new forum, "Which is the best and why?"then everybody can repeat over and over and over and over buy the v67,ecm8000,c1,etc..Also at the top of this site it should read "Anybody using this site should try the search function to see if there are answers pertaining to your questions before posting a topic that's been covered a million times" Hell, I've got only one question how in the hell do you use the quote function?Lastly,I am not trying to bash anybody either!!

not your type....what are you, some kinda straight-boy.....:D

Tell you what put on high heels, shave your legs, and grow some tits and lastly give me your v67 and I might reconsider...:D :) :D :) :D

As for me Gidge I was just kidding around in my attempt at humor.
Sorry if it seemed like "bashing", especially considering your efforts
at helping others.

man...I looked everywhere for the studio projects booth at namm. we ended up downstairs right at about 6 (why does it ever close...I wanted to sleep there) Most mic companies were there but no studio projects. Alan where was it? I REALLY wanted to see the new mic pre.

Wow, we were right next to Manley in booth 1633. We had a great show, and the response to the VTB-1 and the B Series was outstanding. I am sure "other" mic companies had a great show as well, but we were slammin.

Sorry you did not get to visit us, but we were there in full dress!

Alan, this is way more information than I wanted to know.

Well, with all the Kilt's we saw at the show, a dress was not uncommon...but of course we were not wearing them :D

it would seem like this is a very FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTION. That would be cool if the mods could assemble some type of document that contains questions that people ask often.

hmmmmm. You could call it a QPAATFT (Questions people ask all the freakin time) or something catchy like that.

I'm sure if we put our heads together we could come up with some sort of resource.

(yes this is sarcasm)
