Hi everyone!

Can anyone please advise me if the Rode NT1 is good for normal studio recording? (making mp3s, or burning onto the cd)

thanks a lot!

I like mine way better than my AKG C-1000. Loads of detail, and a sound that appeals to my ear. Best of all, I like using both of them together (the AKG seems to have less bottom end than the Rode, which is good for micing acoustic guitar).

I had heard a long time ago, probably from some posts on rec.audio.pro, that the sound of Rode mics is not so consistent from mic t mic. That is, you might get a good one and you might not.

Is that (still) true?

Jim

Rode mics seem to be the most talked about item on this BBS...WOW

Thats all...

I've never been in the same room with an NT1. But I've heard a James HE recording that used one and now I can't wait to have enough money to buy one.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better mic at the $200 price range.

the nt1 is as good as the 50 other posts in this forum say it is. =Þ
