rode Nt 5 OR M-audio pulsar - Hang drum

This is for recording a hang drum, which you can consider almost the same as an acoustic guitar.

I am getting both of these used at the same price, which one to chose. Reason for confusion after reading too many forums

- One comparison put M-audio almost the same quality as KM's, some put it as the best overall mic for various applications
- rode nt5 are praised but some say are bright, thats what I am concerned of,

So all the people who have experienced with these may please advice. I will probably be using them with a EMU 0404, so if there are any issues with that, please help !

Haha then we'll probably confuse you more. I have nt5s. Bright and dark. I don't like them too much on acoustics. So there you go more opinions to confuse.

If you can I'd get both and sell the one you don't want because with used gear you can buy and sell for the same price.

Are you the same Aaron from Handpan

OK, thats a good idea. I will try and get both and get rid of one set, that will solve the confusion and I will have an oppertunity to compare both with the hang.

Probably not because I'm not sure what Handpan is.
