Rode mics: looking to buy/who has used?

That is true. Shockmount is optional, but I am sure it isn't crazily expensive, like a Neumann shockmount.

Like I stated earlier, don't overlook the "used" NTKs on Ebay...many come with the hard case and the shockmount (Rode's shockmount is outstanding!...generally sells for about $50. by itself)...I bought mine on ebay (in MINT condition) with the case and shockmount for a bit over $300...GREAT VALUE!...
