I brought a Rode M3 today after reading the sound on sound review of it .
Plus I already havr the Rode video mic and I was quiet impressed with that one.
For £85 thats what the M3 cost me I must say I was quite impressed as it comes with a nice case and a popshield plus a mic holder.
The mic has a -10db and a -20db pad with a high pass filter .
The only thing I noticed was that without the popshiled it tends to pick up the pops sand ss sounds , I will have to put the pop shield on but the quailty is very nice and clean , close up it soiund s full and warm.
It also has a nice airy open sound.
I have to try it on acoustic guitar as I hear that its a very versatile mic.
First impressions very good.
Last week I brought a SE Electronics hand held condenser mic the H1 and though that was almost double the price it did'nt have the same edge as the Rode M3.
Is anyone else familier with this Rode mic?
