Rock tune mixing....

I love this song! it would be a hoot to play, the vocals are awesome, the kick is money, maybe boost it around 80 to 100 htz, the snare has good bottom but is a little dry, maybe a short hall verb on it. don't know how you recorded it but check out a free plugin called sub kick, and another freebie called snare buzz. maybe add a de-esser on the overheads to clean them up a bit. great job!

To me, the kick is just a bit too clicky. It seems forward of the vocal and snare. That could just be a stylistic choice. Otherwise the mix seems solid.

At the moment I'm using a new Westone headset that I'm not completely familiar with, so my perspective might be a little off.

Guitars sound great! Lead vocal very powerful, backing vocals are very well done and compliment the lead well. Gtr solo tastefull , nice tone.
I guess if I had a nit, and its a personal taste thing, I would like a little more bass guitar in the mix, tone wise a little more low end , as well as maybe a few bass runs that complement the guitar parts.
Great song , enjoyed the listen!

Thanks man, your nit is mine as well! Kick and the bass could definitely be a bit better. Going to my time and get it right, really appreciate your thoughts. Happy New Year!
