Rock/Screamo track: would really appreciate some feedback!

Care to go into some details about what you used to track and then mix? Updated version sounds great to me! Mic's/Pres etc... drum replacement? keep up the great work!
 
Wow - I'm not much into screamo but this is a damn good recording. I've only heard the re-mixed one. The kick has great presence and clarity... I think the song needs a bit more thump though. For the lead guitar part right after the spoken word section: I'd find a way to make it stand out more. You got a great tone out of it, but to me it seems more important to the conclusion of the song than the lyrics. I'd say give it a bit more high end, but don't want to sacrifice the gooey (that's a positive) tone you already have. Maybe just a slight volume boost..
 
Definitely like mix2....fuller sound imo, a little more low end depth....great song!
 
Much improved to my ears. Either you took my advice with the outro lead, or I'm just hearing what I want to hear ;)-
