Check this out and maybe let me know what you think of it technically as far as mixing and whatnot go, Thanks!

Your snare seems very tiny and has virtually no smack to it at all. For this type of music you really want your drums to sound huge. Instead, they sound very clicky and overly compressed. What kind of drum software are you working with?

I agree. The guitar is really forward in the mix, and although it's a good sound, it overwhelms the drums. I think the song would be more powerful if you made the drums more prominent and/or used different software for them.

Also, check out the beginning of the first and second clean parts; there is one note that (to me) seems a bit out of tune.

Hope this helps,

David

Ya, my friend said the same thing about the drums. They aren't compressed at all, I just need to turn them up a bit. I'm using the "Metalhead" set from EZ Drummer. It's just a simple volume issue

Ok cool, thanks. As far as the clean part goes, that note isn't out of tune it's just like a half-dead note because the chord I switched to is hard to reach quickly so I think my finger hit a string and made it die or something

The reverb, eq or something is causing the guitars to be in a different spot than the drums - mainly noticeable in the intro and quiet parts. Well written tune though I liked all the changes form slow to fast - kept it interesting and rockin.... :D:D:D:D

I really like the tune. The only thing keeping it from sounding powerful, is the drums. they need more 'meat'. Especially the snare. Not sure the EZD ones are going to get there easily. Never had much luck with them without some serious processing. Then they just sound processed. If you want, you could send me just the kick and snare tracks, and I'll send you a few Steven Slate samples to play with. I'm bored. :)
