RNC to Patchbay

Does anyone have their RNC hooked up to an unbalanced patchbay, and if so, what cabling was used. I want to choose insert points (individual channel inserts, sub inserts, main inserts) from the patchbay and am slightly confused as to the use or non-use of "Y" insert cables for this application.

Once again, should have checked deja news first, before asking what's been asked a hundred times before! Anyway, got my answer, thanks to all who would have posted.
