RNC CONNECTION?? Please Respond

To connect the RNC to the Insert on a board:
Do I need a Y (TRS to TS TS) cable?

Or 2 TRS cables as seen at http://www.humbuckermusic.com/rncinfo.html

Or something else?

This is quite confusing...Each thing I look at says to do it a different way...I want to get the cable ordered so it will get here by the weekend...

if you're hooking it up to the inserts on a console, all you need is one TRS cable per mono channel.

So 2 TRS cables are preferable because then I can use compression on 2 tracks instead of 1?
Is there any benefit to using a Y Cable? Wouldnt that - basically - do the same thing (unless used on a stereo channel)?

whether you use a TRS or Y-cable, it is 100% identical. it may just be more convenient to plug in 2 TRS cables instead of 4 TS plugs from two Y-cables.
