Ridiculous eBay offer on SM57's

whoever pays that is a dumbass lol. Out of all the shure sm-57's that I have, I paid no more than $50 a piece.

I sold four of my excess SM57 for $70 each (shipped). This is the same or a bit less than a new purchase at the local store.

Each of mine was 100% brand new, in the box, with all the box candy. A fair price for a brand new mic. My remaining SM57 were purchased used, and came with the corresponding amount of 'road love' engraved in the finish. But they were priced accordingly.

Don't forget the $18.00 shipping fee. That sucker better be wrapped in a mile of bubble wrap. Some people...

Someone here claimed that he could buy good used 57s all day for $25 per.

If so, I'd like about four, please.

Shipping fees (on eBay) are one of the more sneaky tricks I've seen. I bought some ATX power supplies from an eBay vendor who was selling them for $5 each, but $20 each for the shipping.

The gotcha is, if you are unhappy he will refund the $5 purchase price, but the shipping charges are not refundable. Neither are shipping charges subject to the eBay commission rates.

I get a defective power supply, and it costs me $20 each way ($40) to return it for a $5 refund... I think not.

The good news is, I paid for two, and the dip shit sent me 6 of 'em, so fuck him.
