Ribbon mic under 200!

I just got a shure sm 57 yesterday and the mxl 990/991 about a week ago. I'm looking for a decent ribbon mic under 200. What do you have that you like in this area. Any info is much appreciated.

You will probably have to check the Nady and Apex for a loosely-tesnioned ribbon as soon as they arive. The Cascade and Karma have better QC.

Fat Head. That was an easy question.

I have two and use them for drum OH, guitar cabs, acoustics (sometimes), some vocals, background vocals, harmonica, banjo, and room mics.

It's good but I would say that it all depends on what you hope to be recording with it.
Guitar cabs and the like will be real good, but for vocals I think they are the fail, you'll have to go to a much better ribbon microphone then.

yay! do it! I loved mine at first, then after a few weeks didn't like it so much, then loved it again. It may take some getting used to because it's so different from other types of mics.
