Ribbon mic and vintage 5 watt harmony amp

Very sweet sounding dude! I love that sound! I've got a harmony (an H400 from about 66) in the shop right now. I can't wait to get it back. What Harmony is that you're using on that track?

Thanks for listening! The net has been a huge outlet for my music. The model is a H400A. My deluxe reverb tremelo went out and my good friend that builds custom amps loaned me this one while he is fixing the deluxe. He got it a while back. It is bone stock. I added the UA plug in plate reverb on it. I am playing with a touring rock show tomorrow night in Columbus. That little amp is going with me. It reminds me alot of a 56 champ I use to own. I had the volume up to about 4 out of 10. That jazzmaster has a lot of mojo on it. It was originally lonnie mack's. He gave it to stevie vaughn when they did lightning stikes back. I got when I hit austin and had a funky old guitar that couldn't keep up with the insane volume austin musicans played at. Walter

Wow...a H400A--I wonder what's the difference between yours and mine (an H400 without the A). I thought mine was 25 watts--but maybe that's not the output. It's just got one single knob--the volume knob that also clicks it off. It had a jensen special design blue 8" speaker that was torn. I bought the modern version of the same speaker and the amp is being re-capped right now.

I certainly hope I can count on it to put out the same cool vibe yours does! Thanks for sharing...

this one has volume and tone knobs. It has the original jensen 8" speaker and original tubes. The whole unit only weighs about 5 pounds. Walter

Nice!!!

I went through a small 1950's-1960's practice amp getting-off-ebay stage about two years ago. At one point I ordered an mysterious "knox" amp for $40, and the seller accidentally sent me a Harmony like that one -- the actual buyer of the Harmony was upset (especially when he got my knox) and so we exchanged amps. I never turned it on.

I did pick up a bunch of similar ones in that period, though - they're great!!
