Hello everyone,

First i would like to tell you that i am a totally newbie to the recording arena. However, i do play spanish nylon guitar to a good extent. I have recently established a very humble setup for recording on the pc as follows;
-cheapest 4 channel mixer from radioshack
-dynamic unidirectional mic from radioshack
-N-track studio for multitracking and adding some reverb to the guitar sound and stuff like that.

However, i have been searching online for something that would provide me with spanish rhythms (to play solo with it in the background) or any other software that would make me able to add mass strings (or a rhythm) in the background to play guitar melodies with.

However, unfortunately i dont play keyboard so i want the simplest thing there is. I would be extremely grateful if you would suggest any free software or any devise that i can buy and hook in up to the pc for that purpose.

Thank you for appreciating my lack of knowledge in the recording world:)

Have a good day. :)

First of all, I am not going to say a word about your radio shack purchases...

Why not just record your own rhythm tracks and then solo to them?

You may want to research a software product called Band-In-A-Box. It is designed to enter chord progressions using a standard computer keypad and then it can play back a band accompanyment using either smaple that come as part of the software......or trigger MIDI keyboards.

It is mainly designed to provide actual band accompany (drums, bass, piano, etc) - but it also can provide some "string" parts.

BIAB comes with many "styles" of music - including several Latin styles
