Dear Colleagues, Do you encountered such a problem? On Revox PR-99 MkIII is not activated recording function. Red lights are not lit, the indicators are not active, the machine does not record and erase. It happened after recap. In this case, all the cards work. It is unable to verify consistently placing each of them in exactly the same Revox PR-99. And it works as it should. The impression is that the case some chip or relay. But I do not know where the chip is responsible for enabling this feature. If anyone knows, I beg you tell that to change, and where it stands. I hope to help.

If the machine has been recapped and now no longer works, I could only suggest going over each printed circuit board and ensuring that the correct values of uf were installed and that they are oriented in the correct polarity. If any of them don't match up to what the parts manual says they should be, replace them. If other parts were damaged as a result of those caps being the wrong ones or installed incorrectly, then it is possible other parts are now damaged or blown.

Consult an experience technician if this is beyond your experience level to trouble-shoot.

Cheers! :)

I consistently put all recap pcb's to other Revox PR-99 MkIII, and it's work. The problem is something else.

If you have both a working and also a broken MK3, try swapping boards to see if you can locate the board causing the problem.
I would also make sure that they are properly plugged in. Boards I would try first are the record board, and if that fails, the main logic board.

Also, make sure that the record board is plugged into the right slot - I remember getting confused about which boards go where after recapping my B77, and I think I did put one in the wrong slot at first.
