returns?

hey guys i have been using logic studio for a few months now. i have not been able to figure out what effect a "return" has on the sound. if anyone could give me a brief explanation it would be appreciated.

a return is not an effect. read this.

that probably didn't help any.

an effect send redirects a signal through an effect. the return controls the amount of that effect on that particular signal.
