I recently purchased a 5150 Signature Head and it needs to be retubed soon. Now, it has Mesa tubes in it and they sound pretty good. They have a lot of distortion and crunch. I'm looking for more of a smooth, warm sound, but still good distortion. If anyone an suggest anything, i'd greatly appreciate it. This is my first tube amp and i'm kind of new to this, so help me out. I will also need prices on stuff, like how much would it cost to retube it, haha. I was thinking about Sovteks cause i've heard good things, but i'm open to any suggestions. Thanks duders. =] Peace!

Take care,
Adam.

Or you could just take a big dump and plug the turds into the tube sockets. They would sound just like Sovteks.]

Terry has a boat load of NOS tubes that you can get for about the same price as JJ's. OK a little bit more but in the same ballpark and way better tubes. I have 32 tube amps and I get all of my tubes from Terry. Tell him I sent you and he'll take very good care of you.
