Hello, I am finishing a very important project, an animated cartoon soundtrack.
I have about 7 audio tracks in wav(16bit).
I want to mix to a final stereo wav file, process in Tracks,
etc, burn the stereo track to CD...but my soundcard is a ISA Soundblaster AWE64.

My simple question: my soundcard will affect the sound quality of the final mix?

When I render the tracks to a stereo track(in Vegas, in Pro Tools Free,in every multichannel software), does the soundcard affects the final file?

Is it a stupid question? I am sorry, but I really don't know what to do. I want to mix in my computer, instead of going to a studio (and spending money) to mix.

Thanks very much.

The soundcard will affect what you hear when the file is played, but the software doesn't even need the soundcard to mix the audio together. You should be fine.
