removeing bb's from my sytek?

i love negative rep
i have a sytek with bb's in all 4 channels and would like to remove them from 2 of the channels. (want the cleaner sound)

how hard is this?

do i have to replace them with another transformer, or is transformerless ok?

am retarded, thanks for all help.
 
it is my understanding that the burr brown chips in there are replacing ne5532's or something like that. if you wanted to add transformers that would be a separate thing altogether, and that preamp should already be balanced.
 
If you know how to use a pair of common household tweasers ... then you have more than enough knowledge and/or skill to figure out how to swap out chips in that thing.

what are the chips in the "clean" version, and any one know where i can get them.

Uhh . . . burr-browns are opamps, not transformers, and I have to imagine they are the 'clean' version, at least compared with a cheaper opamp :confused:
 
the stock sytek pre does not have th bur browns, and is always described as both faster and cleaner then the BB's.





reason being, lately i seem to be using my rnp more then the sytek, and am thinking that 2 more "cleaner, faster" channels would be nice.
