I have Cubase LE.

I try using the remove DC Offset function on my stereo mixdowns, but the function doesn't seem to actually do anything. Is there any particular reason for this?

Now that I'm thinking about it, does doing it after Normalizing could be what is causing it not the work?

A DC offset happens when your hardware adds dc current to your audio signal and it results in the wave not being centered on the baseline. It may or may not cause glitches when you add sound effects to files that have offsets.

You should be able to determine the offset with the spectrum analyzer. You can correct the offset using the remove DC offset function which will increase the dynamic range of your digital audio file.

I know what DC Offset is. I look at my waveform and I can physically see DC Offset. I go to Process->Remove DC Offset, and it processes for a few seconds....but the waveform does not change at all.

That is why I'm asking this question.

I'm sorry I figured you didn't know what it was because if it consumes headroom why would you do it after normalizing and why would you wait until after you add effects?

If it's not working(which I'm doubting too) use a high pass filter and cut off everything below 20hz and then try normalizing.
