Cool tune cool topic to write about a ton of good Karma going out...

Yeah the vocals sound like they were recorded with you singing in a box so yeah they need to come out of da box...great concept congrats!

off topic but relevant.... Not sure how soundcloud picks the songs that follow....But as I was typing this the next song came on on soundcloud and it is pop as shit but damn funny / cool...some 20 year soon to be super star named Mealnie Martinez not my wheelhouse but I suspect she's going to be doing OK in the money department based upon what I've heard...This song is cool https://soundcloud.com/melaniemartinezmusic/melanie-martinez-training-wheels as well as Doll House...

Melanie Martinez is on my playlist. I LOVE HER. In the top fifty of worst live shows I've seen. But, her album "Cry Baby" is EXCELLENT.

Yo Snow, I agree a hi hat would not normally be referred to as a cymbal while tracking...nor would a ride or crash ( both cymbals). Likewise though a bass is a guitar it isn't referred to as a guitar when discussing a track in a recording situation....

That said, Idiot is a derogatory "put down" that is sure to offend those that pissed you off and feed the fire of another flame war.
It'd of been totally proper to use it back in the days of the Dragon Cave here but them days are done and the mods just ask we be respectful as possible to each other so they don't have to babysit us n shit.

I'm not a mod but this thread, which was really just about a cool tune getting critiqued, took an unnecessary turn down ugly street and the Idiot thing will just push it back in that direction of which there is no need to go. Just saying man...

Cool song...hope you get it tracked down to where you want it.

My take, for what it's worth.....
I don't see any reason to be debating terminology here.
Your track (as far as I know) has no cymbals, by your definition, so there's no ambiguity as to what was meant.
If your percussions score was made up exclusively of toms and I said 'turn the drums down', I wouldn't be expecting similar fall out.

Regardless, I'm asking for the last time that you leave the insults at the door.
